Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Thursday approved a proposal for the setting up of two teaching hospitals for the Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital in Balasore district and Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir districts with a view to improve medical education.
The two teaching hospitals will have 500 beds each, a service block, medical gases pipeline system. Besides, an ESS (emergency surveillance system) building will also be constructed in these two medical colleges and hospital.
The two teaching hospitals will be completed in 30 months at an estimated cost of Rs 286 crore.
