Cuttack: Badambadi police here on Thursday arrested two youths for allegedly brandishing a pistol during a wedding procession in Odisha’s Cuttack city.
According to sources, they were seen dancing with the pistol during the procession. On being informed, police apprehended the duo and it was then revealed that the pistol did not belong to them.
The marriage organisers, however, were granted permission from the DCP office for the procession.
A probe is on to ascertain whether they were only dancing by brandishing the gun or were trying to frighten someone, the sources added.
