The other languages UGC has sought authors for are Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

UGC, in an official notification about introducing undergraduate courses in 12 Indian languages, has invited Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified authors from higher educational institutions to write original textbooks.
