Bhubaneswar: The state government on Saturday released draft reservation list for chairperson posts of municipalities and NACs.
As per a notification, issued by the Housing and Urban Development department, 65 chairperson posts of the total 107 municipalities and NACs in the state will be reserved for different categories of candidates.
While 42 chairpersons posts have remained unreserved, 40 seats have been reserved for women candidates.
Similarly, 8 posts have been reserved for scheduled caste (SC) candidates and 3 are meant for the leaders belonging to Scheduled Tribe community.
The notification further stated that 9 top posts of the civic bodies will be occupied by Scheduled Caste women, while 5 have been kept aside for Scheduled Tribe women.
The department said any objections and suggestions to the reservation can be filed within 15 days from the date of publication of the notification. Any person can send his/her objections or suggestions to director, municipal administration for the government’s consideration.
It may be noted that the government has already released the draft reservation list of wards in three municipal corporations on January 7.
