Cuttack: Odisha Juggernauts showed their championship here on Wednesday evening as they overturned a 12-point deficit to beat Mumbai Khiladis 31-28 in the Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2.
The home team and defending champions trailed 14-15 at half-time and then fell back 15-27. Egged on by an enthusiastic crowd at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, the Juggernauts shifted the momentum in Turn 4 and ultimately won. Mumbai had a consolation by earning a point as they lost by a margin of just 3 points.
It was Odisha Juggernauts’ second win in 3 games. They had started off with a convincing victory over Rajasthan Warriors, before tying 34-34 with Chennai Quick Guns.
With a tally of 8 points, the Juggernauts are on top of the standings.
They will next face Gujarat Giants on December 30.
