Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate new buildings and modern infrastructure of 10 Saraswati Sishu Mandirs in the state on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.
Pradhan is scheduled to attend the inaugural function at two places and inaugurate 8 schools and allied infrastructure online. He will first inaugurate a school in Angul from where he will inaugurate the new infrastructure of the schools located in Boudh, Phulbani in Kandhamal district, Jeypur in Koraput district and Dhanupalli in Sambalpur city through video-conferencing.
Pradhan will then go to Sundarikhal in Dhenkanal district to personally inaugurate a school. There he will inaugurate the new facilities of the schools in Balipada, Dengasta and Kabisuryanagar of Ganjam district and in Kendujhargarh of Keonjhar.
The new infrastructure of the schools has been constructed at a cost of Rs 24 crore from the CSR fund of Indian Oil. These schools are equipped with modern facilities like smart classrooms, conference hall, laboratory, library, prayer hall, yoga room, and auditorium. More than 12,000 students studying in the 10 schools.
