Bhubaneswar: Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi and Minister of State for Railways, Coal & Mines Raosaheb Patil Danve reached Paradip on Thursday to take stock of coal operations at Paradip Port. The Union Ministers reached Paradip by a special chopper.
They will meet officials of the Mines Department on Friday and also review activities of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited and NALCO.
The visit comes amid an acute shortage of coal in power plants of the country.
