Basudevpur: United Club won 3-0 against Adampur Sports Academy in the one-day football tournament organised by Adani Foundation in collaboration with the District Sports Office, Bhadrak at Atal Bihari High School playground, Basudevpur here on Monday.
Eight teams – Roral Club – Chandbali, United Club – Charampa, Adampur Club – Bhandaripokhari, Adampur Sports Academy – Adampur, Bhagabati Club – Dhamnagar, Rovers Club – Puruna Bazar, Bhadrak, Town Club – Basudevpur and Chandbali Club – Chandbali of Bhadrak participated in the day and night tournament, an initiative of Adani Foundation to give a platform to the youth of Bhadrak.
The tournament was inaugurated by Amitabh Bose, senior vice president, Adani Group in the presence of District Sports Officer, Manoj Kumar Das, Inspector Physical Education, Gajendra Bharati, Ex-Inspector Physical Education, Shyam Sundar Maharaj, Bhadrak along with other dignitaries of Basudevpur and Bhadrak.
SK Suleman and Manoj Kumar Behera were awarded as the best player and best goalkeeper of the tournament respectively.
