Bhubaneswar: Vedanta Aluminium is all set to host the first edition of the International Aluminium Conference (IAC 2023) in Odisha’s Jharsuguda on February 9 and 10.
The two-day conference, themed on “Making India the Aluminium Capital of the World”, will be held in association with the Aluminium Association of India (AAI) at Vedanta’s operations in Jharsuguda, a company release said on Tuesday.
IAC 2023 aims to bring together the global aluminium industry and its stakeholders, including customers, end consumers, suppliers of technology, services and raw materials to the aluminium industry, and other players across the value chain.
The conference provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices, showcasing new innovations and developments in the field of aluminium, promoting sustainability in the industry, and fostering a circular economy.
The conference will feature technical presentations from a variety of participants, including primary metal producers, equipment suppliers, product development teams, academic institutions, research centers, and prominent international experts.
IAC 2023 will see industry leaders come together to deliberate the road ahead for the global aluminium industry at the following panel sessions:

Alongside IAC 2023, there will be a 2-day international exhibition, featuring industry leaders, new-age start-ups and global suppliers from across the Aluminium industry value chain, displaying their manufacturing prowess.
The Aluminium Association of India (AAI) was founded in 1981 to cater to the needs of the Indian Aluminium Industry and represents the entire spectrum of Indian Aluminium Industry – from primary producers and downstream manufacturers to end users and R&D organisations.
Vedanta Aluminium, a business of Vedanta Limited, manufactured more than half of India’s aluminium i.e., 2.27 million tonnes in FY22. It is a leader in value-added aluminium products that find critical applications in core industries.
