Bhubaneswar: Veteran Odia actress Mahasweta Ray will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.
The entry of the actress is expected to strengthen the party, said BJP spokesperson Pitambar Acharya.
In her reaction, the actress said, “I am inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will fulfil the responsibilities given by him.”
Earlier, actors Mihir Das, Sritam Das, actresses Pinky Pradhan and Anu Choudhury had joined the saffron party.
