Sambalpur: The Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance seized sawmill appliances and timber worth more than Rs 36 lakh during raids on Tuesday.
Following reliable information, the officials of the Forest Wing conducted raids on two illegal furniture units at Masterpada and Larpang under Hirakud police station in the district.
During the raids, the officials seized sawmill appliances and timber worth Rs 36 lakh from the two locations. Two cases have been registered in Sambalpur Town Range in this connection and further investigation is on.
