Villagers Thrash Cop For Illicit Relationship With Woman

Baripada: Irate people of Mahuladiha village in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district thrashed a policeman after he was found in a compromising position with a woman on the outskirts of their village.

Sources said a man Mahuladiha village found his wife in a compromising position with Manoj Kumar Thakur, ASI of Thakurmunda Police Station on the outskirts of the village at about 7 PM on Sunday.

After catching the duo red-handed, he called the villagers who rushed to the spot and thrashed the ASI.

The villagers later handed over the ASI to Mahuladiha Police along with his uniform and mobile phone.

The husband of the woman later lodged a written complaint against the ASI with the Mahuladiha Police.

Meanwhile, police have admitted the ASI to the hospital.
