New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) fined Vistara Airline for not operating the minimum number of mandated flights to under-served areas of the north-east.
The airline paid up the fine amount of Rs 70 lakh, which was imposed in October last year, in February 2023, ANI quoted an official as saying.
The Tata Group has announced the consolidation of its airlines Air India and Vistara.
Vistara will merge with Air India after receiving all requisite approvals.
Air India will be the country’s leading domestic and international carrier with a combined fleet of 218 aircraft and India’s largest international carrier and second-largest domestic carrier, Tata group said in a statement.
