Bhubaneswar: As mystery continued to shroud Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) graduate Chinmayee Priyadarshini Sahoo death case in Odisha, police is likely to conduct polygraph test on two accused persons including her male friend.
Sources said apart from her male friend Pritiman Dey, another accused Manas Tudu is also expected to undergo the polygraph test at the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) in Bhubaneswar. Both have been brought to Bhubaneswar for the lie detection test.
Some clothes of Pritiman are also likely to be sent by the police for examination.
Besides, two police teams are likely to visit Balangir and Sonepur districts in connection with the investigation into the mysterious death case of the VSSUT, Burla graduate.
It may be noted here that Chinmayee had gone missing after attending the convocation at the varsity on Tuesday night and her body was fished out of the power channel of Hirakud Dam in Sambalpur the following morning.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by her family, police have registered a murder case against two of Chinmayee’s male friends, Pritiman and Manas.
Suspecting that Chinmayee was strangulated to death, her family had lodged the written complaint against the duo. Pritiman had reportedly accompanied her to the power channel bridge in Burla after receiving her degree at VSSUT convocation ceremony.
Chinmayee’s bag, laptop and other documents have also been seized from her rented house at BJB Nagar in Bhubaneswar. She was staying in Bhubaneswar and preparing for CDS examination.
