Ahmedabad: Parag Desai, a top executive and scion of Wagh Bakri Tea Group, died on Sunday days after he being attacked by stray dogs outside his residence here. He was 49.
The incident took place on October 15 when Desai slipped while trying to ward off the strays that attacked him during his morning walk near Iscon Ambli Road. He was rushed to Shelby Hospital by his family after being alerted by the security guard and was shifted to Zydus Hospital for a surgical procedure, a day later. However, he succumbed to brain haemorrhage during the course of treatment on Sunday, according to Ahmedabad Mirror.
The company, in an Instagram post, shared, “With profound grief, we regret to inform the sad demise of our beloved Parag Desai”.
Desai was the son of Wagh Bakri Tea Group MD Rasesh Desai. He is survived by his wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha.
