Bhubaneswar: Odisha is gearing up to host another Hockey World Cup.
With less than eight months to go for the 2023 FIH Men’s World Cup, preparations at the two venues – Bhubaneswar and Rourkela – are in full swing.
The Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium – the biggest hockey facility in India — is being constructed in Rourkela.
The Kalinga Stadium in the state’s capital, on the other hand, is getting a facelift ahead of the mega event.
Work is underway to lay a brand new astroturf at the magnificent complex in Bhubaneswar. The old synthetic turf was removed at Kalinga Stadium last month
