Bhubaneswar: Three different methods will be used for evaluation of Class 10 Matric or High School Certificate (HSC) exams in Odisha, which will begin on April 29 and conclude on May 6.
Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra explained the three methods on Friday, which have been decided after extensive discussions with academicians, educationists and other stakeholders.
FIRST METHOD
Summative Assessment-1
Internal Assessment (1, 2, 3 & 4)
Weightage will be doubled
SECOND METHOD
Summative Assessment-2
Weightage will be doubled
THIRD METHOD
Summative Assessment-1 — 30 per cent weightage
Summative Assessment-2 — 50 per cent weightage
Internal Assessment (1, 2, 3 & 4) — 20 per cent weightage
The highest score — arrived at by whichever method — will be considered the final marks.
