Sydney: David Warner didn’t score a run in either innings of the final Ashes Test against England recently. Yet, the star Australian opener is trending online.
Warner has shared a video on Instagram where he is seen doing hook steps from the popular Srivalli song in Allu Arjun’s movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.
Warner, pairing a printed black and white shirt with black pants, and donning sunglasses, recreates the iconic Allu Arjun gesture where he feels his beard and touches his chin.
“#pushpa what’s next??” Warner wrote alongside the video.
Warner has a huge fan following on Instagram whom he keeps entertained by posting trending videos. A majority of his fans are from India, especially the south, where he attained huge popularity while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL for the past few seasons.
Warner’s post caught the attention of thousands of users. Even Allu Arjun was impressed, as he dropped a number of emojis to show his appreciation.
Warner replied, “You’ll have to show me next time I am town brother @alluarjunonline saami saami next @candywarner I need to get her involved.”
One of his fans egged Warner to work in Indian films. “Next we want your debut in Indian cinema,” the fan wrote.
“Pushpa… pushpa Warner,” another fan reacted.
Many users demanded that Warner should next enact the film’s other hit song ‘Saami Saami’.
Warner had previously ‘performed’ Bollywood song ‘Bala’ from the movie ‘Housefull 4.
