Dausa: Efforts are underway to rescue a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, who fell into a borewell in Rajasthan’s Bandkui town in Dausa district on Wednesday. It has been over 14 hours since the girl, named Niru, has been trapped at a depth of around 35 feet inside the pit, reports stated.
Teams of NDRF and SDRF are carrying out the rescue operation. A medical team has also been put to task to provide oxygen to the girl.
According to reports, the girl showed movements and had responded to the voice of her mother asking her to drink water from a bottle that was sent into the borewell by the rescue team.
Efforts were also made to send milk and biscuits to the girl. The rescue teams have been digging the surrounding area with three JCBs. The rescue teams are creating a tunnel and attempting to drill a pipe into the tunnel to be able to reach the girl.
The girl fell into the borewell while playing in the Jodhpuriya village, said Police Sub-Inspector, Bharat Lal, as quoted by India TV.
However, the rescue teams are facing challenges due to rain and the condition of the soil. The rescue teams personnel were also facing the challenge of not being able to communicate with the child, who might be unable to understand their instructions.
