Srinagar: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists on Saturday in the Khanyar area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar, according to reports.
Based on the inputs claiming the presence of militants in the area, security forces launched a cordon and search operation.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon a search party of the forces, an India Today report claimed quoting the security forces.
The exchange of firing is underway, but there have been no reports of any casualty on either side.
