Balangir: Timely rescue operation by Fire personnel saved the life of an infant who had fallen into an open well in Odisha’s Balangir.
As per the reports, the 18-month-old girl, Adyasha Biswal, fell into the 30 feet deep well in Padampur village of the district on Friday afternoon. On being informed by her family, the personnel from the nearest Fire station rushed to the village.
The Fire Services personnel immediately got engaged in the rescue operation and brought the infant out of the well. They also took her to a nearby hospital to detect possible injuries to her. However, the doctors of the hospital said her condition was stable.
While the parents of Adyasha and villagers expressed their gratitude to the Fire personnel, how the infant crawled to the well and fell into it has not been ascertained.
Meanwhile, the Fire and Emergency Services department, in a tweet, congratulated the Fire Services personnel for their swift action to save the infant.
