New Delhi: Angry with her boyfriend, a minor girl climbed an 80-feet-high tower of high-tension power line in the Gaurela Pendra Marwahi district in Chhattisgarh. The situation got worse after her boyfriend also decided to follow her to the top of the tower. The incident was captured on video and is making rounds on social media.
Some local villagers noticed the duo atop the tower and immediately alerted the Pendra police station. The families of the couple were also informed about the incident. A large crowd of villagers had gathered around the tower by the time the police arrived, India Today reported.
Police officials negotiated with the couple for a long time, trying to convince them to climb down. After hours of struggle, the police finally succeeded. One of the bystanders in the crowd shot a video of the whole incident and posted it on social media.

Sources said the minor girl had gotten into a heated argument with her boyfriend over a phone call, hours before she climbed the tower. To persuade her to come down, her boyfriend also followed her. Both the girl and her partner were unharmed and brought down successfully, sources added.
Though the officials did not register any formal case in the incident, they have sternly advised the young couple against engaging in such risky behavior in the future.
