Kota: Ahead of the Dussehra celebrations, a huge Ravana effigy fell from a height of 65ft after the belt that tied it to a crane tore off in Kota, Rajasthan.
The incident took place late on Friday at the Kota Dussehra fair ground. The accident occurred when the Ravana’s effigy was being assembled. The effigy got split into two halves.
According to the reports, no one was injured. Officials arrived promptly to assess the situation. The event was being arranged by the civic body in Kota.
The organizers are busy making arrangements for another effigy for the celebration to take place on Saturday evening (today.)
This has upset people in Kota, triggering fear and panic among them.
