Jajpur: In a bizarre incident, a 45-year-old man killed a poisonous snake by biting it after it bit him in Jajpur district.
According to sources, the incident took place in Gambharipatia village under Danagadi block of Jajpur district on Wednesday evening. When Kishore Badara of the village was returning home from his farmland, a poisonous common krait snake bit him.
Enraged over it, Kishore caught hold of the snake and bite it at several places to kill it. He also brought the dead snake to his village and showed it to his family and the villagers while narrating the incident.
Though the villagers advised him to go to hospital, he did not listen. Instead, he went to a sorcerer to heal the wound. His condition is stated to be stable.
“The snake bit me when I was returning home. Out of anger, I chewed the snake and drank its blood. I do not have any health complications,” said Kishore.
