New Delhi: The Delhi Police arrested a 33-year-old person for making death threat graffiti against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at metro stations in the national capital.

The accused, identified as Ankit Goyal and a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, scribbled threats at Rajiv Chowk and Patel Nagar metro station walls on May 19, ANI reported.

“The Metro Unit of Delhi Police had registered an FIR and was investigating the matter,” a police official said.

The accused works at a well-known bank and is not associated with any political party but it seems he is not in sound mental condition, although this can be confirmed only after a medical examination, police sources told ANI.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of plotting an attack on Arvind Kejriwal.

While addressing a press conference, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said, “The BJP has been in a state of panic ever since Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail. The BJP is now plotting to launch a deadly attack on Arvind Kejriwal. This conspiracy is being conducted directly from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). A threat of attack on Kejriwal ji has been written at Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations.”
