Mumbai: Dad and his two sons celebrating Diwali clad in similar blue kurtas and white pajamas — Riteish Deshmukh’s Diwali video caught the fancy of Twitterati and went viral.
What’s the secret behind the ‘uniformed’ look of the Bollywood actor and his sons?
Well, Riteish recycled a beautiful, old saree of his mother to get outfits stitched for the trio on the occasion of Diwali.
In the video, Riteish’s mother Vaishali is seen holding the exquisite saree, waving it and covering the entire screen. The next frames shows Riteish – son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister late Vilasrao Deshmukh – posing with his sons Riaan and Rahyl in similar outfits, doing ‘namaste’ and wishing people Happy Diwali.

Along with the cute video, Riteish – who is married to Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza – wrote: “Maa ki purani saree, baccho ke liye Diwali ke naye kapde (Mother’s old saree, new kids for the kids). Happy Diwali …. shot by Baiko @geneliad – Song credit @sujoy_g #Recycle.”
