Bengaluru: During a Democracy Day event in Bengaluru, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah faced a potential security breach on Sunday. An unidentified man attempted to approach him on stage while the event was underway.
But, his security personnel exhibited swift reflexes and acted promptly. They intervened just inches from the Chief Minister and stopped the man, bringing the situation under control. Despite the disturbance, the event went on without any further escalation.
Earlier in April, Siddaramaiah had faced security beach during an election rally in Bengaluru. A man carrying a gun in a holster had approached Siddaramaiah while he was on an open vehicle campaigning for Congress’ Lok Sabha candidate Sowmya Reddy.
The man was identified by police as Riyaz. He suddenly leapt on to the vehicle with a gun strapped to his waist. He then garlanded another Congress leader, Sowmya, and others present.
