Noida: In a bizarre incident, a video—apparently of a lecture class of Amity University in Sector 126, Noida— showing a snake entering the classroom through the air-conditioner’s duct has gone viral on social media.
The purported video, whose authenticity Odishabytes couldn’t verify independently, shows a snake crawling out of the AC duct while a lecture session was underway, catching students off guard.
It shows how the students, who were initially paying attention to their teacher, turned their focus to the snake in no time as it crawled out of the duct. Moreover, it triggered panic. Many students rushed to record the incident on their mobile phones. A news channel claimed to have accessed the video from the students.
Some of the panic-stricken students climbed onto chairs. The teacher attempted to maintain some order and prevent chaos.
Incidents of wild animal sightings in urban areas have been reported in the past as well around Noida. Recently, a python was found in a nearby village in Greater Noida. The reptile was seen constricting a nilgai. The forest department had managed to rescue the snake and released it in the forest.
