Sundargarh: Rajgangpur tehsildar in the district has landed in soup as his wife has filed a police complaint accusing him of having illicit relationship with another woman.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, Dalia Debnath said her husband, who is the tehsildar of Rajgangpur, Sarat Chandra Bag was having live-in relationship with another woman.
She further alleged that Bag had taken a house on rent in Rourkela and was forcing their three daughters to live with her and accept her as their mother. When her daughters informed Dalia about it over phone on Thursday, she told them that she would go to bring them with her.
As Bag came to know about it, he forcefully took the mobile phones of their daughters to prevent them from contacting Dalia. Since last evening, she was unable to speak to her daughters and did not know their whereabouts, she said.

On reaching Rourkela, she found Bag’s house locked and when she enquired about her daughters, his neighbours said they had gone somewhere. On the other hand, when she contacted her husband, he said they had gone to their village in Balangir.
She further said she was worried about the well-being of her minor daughters as her husband was moving with them to different places. Her youngest daughter is four and a half years of age while another daughter is nine-year-old and eldest is 14 years of age.
Stating that the police were not taking any step even though she has filed an FIR against the tehsildar, Dalia said she would approach the district SP seeking his intervention.
She appealed to the people through media to trace her daughters so that she can take them back with her.
