New Delhi: With 1,77,090 vaccinations recorded till 8 am on Tuesday, Odisha is ranked number 2 in the number of beneficiaries getting the vaccine across the country.
Notably, the state government has set a target of 1.92 lakh vaccinations against COVID-19 during the first phase.
Odisha only lagged behind Karnataka which logged 2,31,172 vaccinations, as per data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh (1,56,120) has slipped to number 3 in the ongoing first phase of vaccination in the country that started on January 16.
Overall, 20,23,809 beneficiaries in the country have received the vaccination so far, the ministry informed. This included 4,08,305 vaccinations in the last 24 hours.
