Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty was pushed to her death from the roof of a building by lover Shah Rukh Khan in the 1993 superhit film. But off camera, Shah Rukh was a very helpful co-star for the 17-year-old Bollywood debutant.
“Baazigar was my first movie and I was very nervous, but Shah Rukh was very sweet. He used to always calm me down and help me with the scenes. When we were shooting for the song ‘Ae Mere Humsafar’ and I had to lip sync the lyrics, I was not getting it properly. SRK, being the gentleman that he is, immediately popped in and helped me with the lyrics and told me a technique on how to get the lip sync on point,” Shilpa revealed.
Besides ‘Ae Mere Humsafar’, Shilpa and Shah Rukh featured in another popular song in Baazigar – ‘Kitabein bahut si’.
Shilpa will be seen in the upcoming episode of Indian Idol 12, where she will share her experience of working with Shah Rukh in her debut film 28 years ago.
