Mumbai: We all know Deepika Padukone is an accomplished actress and a successful model.
She played badminton at the national level in her younger years, too, having been influenced by her father and former All England Championship winner Prakash Padukone.
And, she has written some articles for lifestyle and women’s health magazines as well.
But poetry?
Deepika herself revealed on Sunday that she had written a poem when she was in grade 7 and 12 years of age. As it turns out, it was her ‘first and last attempt’ at writing poetry.
Sharing the poem titled ‘I Am’ on Instagram, Deepika wrote: “My first AND LAST attempt at writing poetry! This was in grade 7. I was 12. The poem was titled ‘I Am’. We were given the first 2 words that you see… and the rest is history!”
Check out the poem posted by Deepika:
Deepika’s fans loved her effort as a schoolgirl, as the endless comments showed.
“12-year-old Deepika wrote this!?!?!?!?,” one user wrote along with an emoticon of shocked face.
“You’re 36 and yet you’re just like a child with love and care indeed,” posted one fan, while another said it was “beautifully curated.”
