Mumbai: After watching Saif Ali Khan in Omkara (2006) and Amrita Singh in Kalyug (2005), actor Sara Ali Khan, as a child, thought her parents were negative people.
“I was very young and I used to think that my father uses bad language and that my mom runs a porn site…it was not fun! And because they were both nominated for ‘best actor in a negative role’ in the same year, I was, like, ‘What is this!?” she told in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India.
Saif played a rugged character, Ishwar ‘Langda’ Tyagi, in Vishal Bhardwaj’s crime-drama Omkara. His character was so perilous that it overshadowed the other characters in the film, including the protagonist.
Amrita had made her Bollywood comeback with Kalyug and she played a businesswoman, who controlled the pornographic world.
