Wife Of Cong Leader Jayadev Jena Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Mamata Manjari Jena, wife of senior Congress leader and former president of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Jayadev Jena, passed away here on Sunday.

She was 60 and is survived by two sons, Sangram and Manoj, and daughter Sasmita.

Mamata was undergoing treatment at a private hospital here for the last three days. She was cremated at Sankhana gram panchayat in Hatadihi block in Keonjhar district.

OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik, former Union minister Srikant Jena, former OPCC presidents Prasad Harichandan and Sarat Patnaik, Chiranjeeb Biswal, Rama Chandra Khuntia and other senior Congress leaders paid their last respects to the departed soul at Jena’s Surya Nagar residence in the city here.
