The people of northern Europe, including Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Scandinavia will be able to see a partial solar eclipse.

A brief partial solar eclipse will also be visible in northeastern United States and eastern Canada.

Only a small area of northern Ontario and Quebec will see the ‘Ring Of Fire’ (annular solar eclipse).

Eclipse Timings

The annular solar eclipse event will start at 1:42 pm (IST) and will be visible to sky gazers until 6:41 pm (IST). The highest poiunt of the eclipse will be visible around 4.11 pm (IST).

What Is A Ring Of Fire?

Notably, a solar eclipse occurs when the Moon comes between the Sun and Earth.

An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is farthest from the Earth. As there is a long distance, the Moon appears smaller and cannot block the entire light of the Sun. Due to this, a ring of sunlight is created around the moon. This is referred to as the ‘Ring of Fire’.
