Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing of State Crime Branch on Thursday arrested a woman in connection with an alleged land fraud to the tune of Rs 3 crore.
The accused was identified as Sanghamitra Gowda.
After receiving complaints against Sanghamitra, the Orissa High Court had issued directions for her arrest.
As per the complaint lodged against the accused, she had sold a piece of land four times and also obtained loans from different banks, private financial institutions and money lenders by mortgaging the same.
The woman’s husband was arrested earlier for the same offence, EOW sources said.
