Woman, Daughter Injured In Fire Mishap In Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur: A woman and her daughter were injured due to fire caused from LPG cylinder leak in their house at Gajapati Nagar here on Monday night.

The incident took place when Tukuna Sahu, who runs a grocery shop, returned home and was watching a programme on TV. His wife Mamata Sahu and daughter Tulasi Sahu were in the backyard. The fire broke out when Tulasi switched on the light.

The local people rushed to the house, extinguished the fire and admitted both Mamata and Tulasi in MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.  Later, they were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.

On being informed, the Fire Brigade personnel took the leaking LPG cylinder out of the house.
