Cuttack: A woman was found dead with her throat slit inside a house at Telugu Sahi in Kutta lane of Odia Bazaar in Odisha’s Cuttack city on Friday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as B Gunvati (38).
According to sources, her husband B Appa Rao found her lying in a pool of blood on returning home. He raised an alarm following which his neighbours gathered at his house and informed the police.
Lalbag police soon reached the spot and sent the body to SCB Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
While Roa claimed that his wife was murdered, police have initiated an investigation with the help of the scientific team.
