Kendrapara: A widowed woman was allegedly abducted and gang-raped at Marshaghai in Kendrapara district on Saturday night.
According to sources, six persons entered the survivor’s house by posing as police and allegedly kidnapped her. They then took them to a secluded place at Ramnagar and raped there.
They also beat up the woman’s son-in-law and house owner when they tried to intervene.
Notably, the survivor was staying in a rented house at Marshaghai along with her daughter and son-in-law.
Acting on the complaint, police have detained four persons for interrogation. Further investigation into the matter is on.
