Balasore: A Hyderabad returnee was found hanging from a tree behind a COVID-19 quarantine centre set up at Jayarampur High School in Balasore district on Tuesday.
The 58-year-old woman was working in a private firm in Hyderabad and had returned to Balasore on June 20 following which she was quarantined. She was a native of Jayarampur village in the district.
According to police sources, inmates of the facility spotted her hanging from the tree and informed the local authorities and police.
She was immediately taken to a local hospital by the police, but doctors there declared her dead.
An investigation is on to ascertain the reason behind her death, the sources added.
