Women’s Panel Honours Odisha Police For Commendable COVID Fight

New Delhi: The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Sunday felicitated Odisha Police for their contribution in managing the COVID-19 situation.

SP (Bargarh) Padmini Sahoo received the felicitation at a function to celebrate NCW’s 29th Annual Foundation Day at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

“The National Commission for Women appreciates the outstanding work done by the staff of Police Department, Government of Odisha during the COVOD-19 pandemic. We felicitate the frontline staff for their commendable team work in the time of crisis. It is an honour to be able to recognise their efforts,” NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma wrote in the felicitation certificate.

Later, Odisha Police issued a statement saying, “We humbly acknowledge the recognition which will inspire us all members of Odisha Police towards selfless service.”
