Bhubaneswar: To encourage and assist the specially-abled artists of Odisha, a three-day live painting workshop is being conducted in the Odisha capital.
The art workshop titled Swayam has teamed up with D.N.Regalia, IPCA and Swabhiman to conduct master classes for the gifted artists of the state. The workshop is being held from February 11 to 13 at the DN Regalia mall in Patrapada.
Around 22 artists from various districts of Odisha had submitted their art work for participating in the live painting workshop. Oof the 22 artists, only 16 got selected in the first round.
Among them, only13 namely Nasim Azim, Mukunda Prasad Pattanaik, Tanmay Jena, Sriharsha Sukla, Siddhartha Sankar Sukla, Miss Ch. Nirupama Patra, Prakash Chandra Majhi, Rajiv Mohanty, Mahendra Das, Manas Kumar Das, Bibekini Dash, Subhashree Kanungo, Jatin Behera managed to qualify for the final round.
Renowned veteran artists of Odisha including Ramahari Jena, Jyoti Ranjan Swain, Satya Bhushan Hota, RamakantSamantray and PrithvirajSinghdeo are going to guide the selected artists at the workshop.
It was inaugurated by Chairman DN Group, Jagadish Prasad Naik, Founder Trustee Ila Panda Centre for Arts (IPCA), Paramita Panda, and Chief Executive of Swabhiman, Sruti Mohapatra.
