Bhubaneswar: The World Skill Center (WSC) here, set up by the Odisha government, is offering one-year advanced training courses in various subjects to help the state’s youth acquire skills to get diverse job prospects in India and abroad.
The application process for September session of the 2024-25 batch of WSC starts on June 22.
Candidates from Odisha can apply till August 30 for enrolment in six cutting edge, advanced courses under ‘School of Engineering’.
Eligible students will be selected through a special entrance test conducted in online mode by the WSC.
Courses offered
* Modern courses like ‘Precision Engineering’ is being introduced under ‘School of Engineering’ department. Under the new course, modules like Engineering Drawing & Inspection Techniques, Engineering Process (Turning), Engineering Process, 3D CAD/CAM Applications, CNC Sheet Metal Fabrication and Grinding will be taught.
* Other subjects include Mechanical & Electrical Services, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration and Vertical Transportation (Lift Technology).
Who Are Eligible
* Candidates must have completed 2-year ITI/3-years Diploma course from any government or private Industrial Training or Polytechnic Institute in Odisha
