Bhubaneswar: As a mark of respect for those who lost their lives in the tragic train accident in Odisha last weekend, players of India and England cricket teams, competing for the greatest prize in Test cricket at the second World Test Championship Final at Kennington Oval in England, donned black armbands on their left sleeves and observed a minutes silence ahead of the national anthem on Wednesday.

The triple train crash, involving Coromandel Express, SMVP-Howrah Superfast Express and a goods train, at Bahanaga in Balasore district on June 2 claimed at least 288 lives and left over 1000 injured.

In the highly anticipated match, India won the toss and elected to field first. As the match commenced, Australia lost their first wicket with just two runs on the board with Usman Khawaja getting dismissed for a duck. Mohammed Siraj got the first breakthrough for India.
