Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain accompanied thunderstorm and lighting for eight districts of Odisha till 6.30 pm on Saturday.
Yellow warning has been issued for some parts of Deogarh, Jagasinghpur, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada and Sundargarh for the next three hours, the Met office said.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
