Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thundershower and lightning is likely to lash at least 12 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, on Tuesday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
Issuing the warning at 1.30 pm along with yellow alert, the weather agency said light to moderate rain, thundershower with lightning may affect some parts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Rayagada, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Gajapati, Puri and Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city) within next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lighting strikes.
