Mumbai: Mumbai Police arrested a 24-year-old woman in connection with a threat message targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The accused, identified as Fatima Khan, was taken into custody from Thane, where she lives with her family.
The message, received by Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell via WhatsApp from an unknown number, said Yogi will be murdered “like Baba Siddique” if he did not step down as CM within 10 days.
Investigation revealed that the message was sent from Fatima’s number.
According to police, Fatima holds a B.Tech degree in Information Technology who is suffering from mental health issues. Her father is into timber business.
Siddiqui was murdered last month outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office. Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claimed responsibility for the murder.
Bishnoi gang has issued several threats to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who was a close friend of Siddique.
Bandra MLA Zeeshan also received a death threat.
Mumbai Police is investigating all these threats.
