Youth Found Dead In Girlfriend’s House In Bhubaneswar; Probe Launched

Bhubaneswar: A youth was found dead in his girlfriend’s house in Bhubaneswar under mysterious circumstances and police have launched a probe into the incident.

As per preliminary information, the incident has been reported from Sisupalgarh area on the outskirts of Odisha capital. The body of the youth was reportedly found inside the house of his girlfriend. The two were reportedly in a relationship for the last few years.

The deceased, identified as Papuni Swain, is stated to be a native of Nimapara area in Puri district. He was working as a mason in the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) in Bhubaneswar.

The police have seized the body and sent it for postmortem to the Capital Hospital. The reason of the death is yet to be ascertained.

Sources said the youth visited his girlfriend on Monday afternoon and later an argument had cropped between the two over some issue. Later, he was reportedly found lying in the house and rushed to hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Investigation into the incident is in progress and a forensic team visited the house as part of the probe. Further details are awaited awaited.
