Balasore: A youth died after allegedly being hit by a speeding train while crossing railway tracks at Arada Bazaar near the railway station here on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Jena of Parakhi village under Sadar police limits in the district.
According to sources, the 20-year-old failed to see the train as he was busy talking on his mobile phone.
Locals spotted the body along the rail tracks at around 9.30 am and informed police.The Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot and sent it to district headquarters hospital for postmortem.
