Rayagada: A youth from Andhra Pradesh allegedly drowned in Nagavali river while taking selfie near the hanging bridge in Rayagada on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as L Sairam. He belongs to Vijaya Nagar in Andhra Pradesh.
Sairam was studying in Glaze India in Rayagada.
He had gone to Nagabali river with his three friends. The incident took place, while they were taking selfie near the river.
On being informed, the Fire Service personnel reached the spot and recovered the body of Sairam.
On November 6, a youth from Andhra Pradesh had drowned in the same river.
According to sources, a group of youths from Kottavalash had come to Rayagada to offer prayers at Majhigharani temple.
The incident took place, when they were taking selfies. T Ganga Raju slipped into the river and was swept away. His friends informed locals who called up the fire fighters. A few hours later, fire fighters rescued him in an unconscious condition. He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
